Wet Weather & Cancellation Policy

The Howick Rotary Event Management Team always strives to ensure events take place as advertised. However, in accordance with the event Health and Safety Plan, the Rotary Club of Howick reserves the right to alter or cancel any event should circumstances require.

Every effort will be made for registered participants to take part as advertised. Any alteration or cancellation will be determined on the morning of the event, or in extreme circumstances prior to the event date.

If an event is cancelled, the decision will be made before 7:00am on the day of the event where possible.

  • Changes will be communicated via the Public Address System where safe to do so.
  • Regular updates will be provided throughout the event if conditions change.
  • In the event of a full cancellation prior to event day, participants will be notified via email.

Refund Policy

There will be no refunds.

Prize-Giving Terms & Conditions

Prize-giving will take place on site at Stockade Hill once the majority of participants have completed the event course, typically between 10:30am and 11:30am. Participants and supporters should plan to remain at the venue until approximately 12:00pm.

Winners must be present at prize-giving and show their winning ticket number to claim any prize.

Prizes cannot be claimed later, transferred, exchanged for cash, or claimed by anyone other than the named winner.

The Rotary Club of Howick takes no responsibility for lost or unclaimed prizes.

Terms & Conditions of Entry

By entering the Howick Rotary Fun Walk & Run, participants agree to the following conditions:

Assembly Area

  • The Assembly Area forms part of the event course and is restricted to registered participants only.
  • Entry into the Assembly Area constitutes agreement to comply with safety requirements.

Lost Property

  • The Rotary Club of Howick accepts no responsibility for lost property.
  • Lost items should be reported to the Lost Kids Tent or HELP TEAM staff.
  • Unclaimed items are held for three months before being donated to charity.

Fair Play

  • Participants agree to uphold the principles of fair play, respect, and courtesy.
  • Spectators are encouraged to support all participants equally.

Entry Waiver

By registering a child to participate, the parent or guardian confirms acceptance of the entry waiver and terms and conditions.

  1. Authorisation to enter the child/ward into the event.
  2. Confirmation the child/ward is at least seven years of age.
  3. Agreement to participate at own risk.
  4. Commitment to fair play principles.
  5. Compliance with health and safety requirements.
  6. Consent to collection and use of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act.
  7. Consent to the use of photographs and video for promotional purposes.

Schools Incentive Terms

  1. One Primary and one Intermediate school team will be drawn to receive the Crawford Cup.
  2. School participants are eligible for individual spot prizes.
